Mark Montgomery has over 42 years of experience in the investment industry.  He started his career at Reynolds Securities now a part of Morgan Stanley.  He later joined his mother's investment firm, Julia Montgomery Walsh & Sons.

Mark's mother Julia Walsh was a pioneer for women on Wall Street, having been: the first female graduate of Harvard's Advanced Management Program, the first female director of a major stock exchange, one of the first two women to start their own investment firm and one of only three women, along with Abby Joseph Cohen and Mary Farrell, ever to be inducted into the "Wall Street Week Hall of Fame". As part of Julia Montgomery Walsh & Sons, Mark participated in all aspects of the business.  When the Boston based investment banking firm Tucker Anthony purchased the company Mark became a Vice-President and senior portfolio manager there.

In 1997 he joined the Wall Street Firm Shields & Company as Senior Vice-President; there he worked with David Shields a former Governor of the New York Stock Exchange.  While at Shields, Mark and his brother John Montgomery established Montgomery Brothers, Inc. a registered investment advisory with assets under management over $500 million and whose clients included individuals, charities and professional organizations.

In 2003 Montgomery Brothers, Inc. started a limited partnership, Montgomery Brothers Cappiello, with Frank Cappiello, also a member of the "Wall Street Week Hall of Fame".  In 2005 in order to best serve his clients, Mark established Montgomery Capital Advisors, LLC.

Mr. Montgomery is active on the philanthropic and charitable levels as well. For ten years from 2004 to 2013 Mark sat on the board as Treasurer of ACRIA (AIDS Community Research Initiative of America) which focuses on AIDS research and education in America.
